Contingent Pre-Registration

It is time to register for the 72nd Gilwell Reunion and to find old friends and to make new ones. Have your Contingent on board before the Registration deadline.

 

The 2025 registration fee is $35 per Scouter

Registration Package

The Contingent Registration spreadsheet must be received on time to guarantee that your contingent has a place on the field. We need this information to file with the Town of Milton. You do not have to submit the individual registration forms at this time, but you will lose your discount if you don't.

We also ask that you register electronically which means please fill in the forms on your computer and email them to the Registrar. It saves a lot of typing and there is less chance of error and/or omissions.

NOTE: Contingent pre-ordered supplies will be held at the lower level of Ridley Lodge (H-Hut). Contingents may pick up their items at the lower level of Ridley Lodge. Please ensure someone collects the items during registration hours.

Friday 1 to 5 pm,

Saturday 8 to 9:30 am;11 am to 2:30pm

Large groups should send more than one representative (with a little wagon/trolley/dolly) to collect their goods.

 

REMINDERS:

  • Sites with electrical outlets for medical or life-support devices are available for reasonably sized trailers and tents. THESE MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE WITH THE BLUE SPRINGS CAMP COMMITTEE. A fee of $25 is applicable, paid directly to the Camp Committee upon arrival. To make arrangements, e-mail ml.attallah@outlook.com. This service is not available through the Gilwell Registration Committee, the Blue Springs Camp Office, or the Central Ontario Administration Centre in Toronto.
  • All Gilwellians attending the Reunion must be: 
  • A registered member in good standing of Scouts Canada, B-P Guild Category 1 or member of an organization recognized by the World Organization Scouting Movements (WOSM) [e.g. Boy Scouts of America, The Scout Association (UK)] having completed Advanced Wood Badge training in any section or service role. 
  • You may also register as a Non-Active Scouter but there are additional rules to participate. These persons would pay the Reunion registration fee. Please note that those who are Non-Active are unable to stay the night, but other camping/accommodation recomendations are online.
  • All contingent pre-registrations with a participant list, and home Councils, must be sent no later than June 30.  
  • Please submit accurate dimensions (canvas only) of your marquee when registering. If you are using a rental company, please advise them that you will only be allotted the size you originally requested/ordered. 
  • No cooking tents are allowed; however, cooking under a 10X10 pop-up shelter is permitted.
  • Rental Marquees: Advise your rental company they will be only permitted to set up marquees after 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4. Please ensure the name of the Contigent is included.
  • Working Committee Contigents and participants may enter Blue Springs after 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5. Prior to that time, all may set up sleeping tents in Blue Heron.

Getting the Reunion Ready for 2025

Reunion Committee has begon setting up the Reunion for 2025.

So, the news you are all waiting for is the 2025 theme and it is “Working together the Scouting Way”.

So as in pervious years Committee is looking for talented Gilwellian designers to create a “logo theme crest” design. The design is to be in colour and up to 8 colours and size will be 3 ½ inches in “any shape”. The deadline for submissions is Jan 20th/ 2025 and to Secretary MJ at mjgrstevenson@nexicom.net. When making your submissions, please make sure that designers name and your contingents name is on the submission.

Also, please put in the subject line that it says “Reunion Logo theme crest design”.
